Sequential execution

Consider these two program snippets:

   txtGreet.AppendText("Goodbye my friend!")
   txtGreet.Clear()

and

   txtGreet.Clear()
   txtGreet.AppendText("Goodbye my friend!")

Do both produce the same result? Explain your answer.
